Juno 'the Warner' (Moneta), whose temple stood on the Capitoline citadel; after an earthquake a voice from her shrine bade an atonement with a pregnant sow, whence her title (De Divinatione 1.101).

After a voice from Juno's temple on the citadel bade an atonement, the goddess received the cult-title Moneta ('the Warner', from monere). The Roman mint stood by her temple, whence our word 'money'.
