The standing statute (also Lex Plautia, of the 70s BC) establishing the criminal court for public violence (vis); under it Sempronius Rufus prosecuted Tuccius in 51 BC.

The lex Plotia (or Plautia) de vi established the standing criminal court for public violence (vis); cases under it took precedence, which is why Sempronius used it to manufacture a trial that would crowd out his own.
