Pompey's law of 52 BC establishing a stringent court for electoral corruption (paired with his lex de vi); many were convicted under it that year, and in 49 BC Caesar planned to recall those it had condemned.

Pompey's laws of 52 BC on electoral corruption and violence had sent many men into exile after summary trials. Caesar now planned to recall them wholesale, both to win their loyalty and to undo his rival's legacy.

Pompey's reform of court procedure as sole consul in 52 BC, which restricted advocates' speaking time (three hours for the defence). Cicero and Hortensius pleaded daily under it just before the civil war silenced the courts.
