A host or agent of Atticus on Corcyra who entertained Cicero lavishly at Actium on his homeward voyage in 50 BC. Distinct from Alexio the physician of Cicero's later letters.

Alexio was Cicero's personal physician and friend of many years, who had just died suddenly; Cicero mourns not the loss of medical care so much as the man's warmth and refinement, and is unsettled that so temperate a man could be struck down so abruptly.
