Freedman of C. Rabirius Postumus (taking the nomen Curtius from his patron's adoptive family); a businessman based at Ephesus who hosted Cicero there and managed Cicero's affairs in Asia. Commended to P. Servilius Isauricus in Fam. 13.69 over a property dispute with a man of Colophon.

Mithres ran his affairs from Ephesus, the chief city and assize-seat of the province of Asia, and there hosted Cicero on his journeys to and from Cilicia. Cicero stresses the depth of the guest-tie to mark this as no perfunctory recommendation.
