Brother of Paula Valeria, named in 50 BC; probably the C. Valerius Triarius who was a Pompeian naval commander and prosecuted Scaurus in 54 BC. Distinct from the L. Triarius of the Verrines.

C. Valerius Triarius, a Pompeian naval commander now dead, left Cicero as legal guardian (tutor) of his children. As tutor Cicero administers the estate, which is why he weighs in on the disposal of slaves in the Castricius transaction.
On the Ends of Good and Evil §1.13 the young Gaius Triarius
C. Valerius Triarius, a learned young man present at the dialogue, who breaks in at sections 26-27. He too was a real associate of Cicero who later died in the civil war.

Gaius Valerius Triarius, the young Roman who is the second interlocutor and silent ally of Cicero against the Epicurean Torquatus in the dialogue. Here he breaks in, unable to believe Epicurus said what is quoted.
