Critolaus

The Achaean leader (strategos) whose policy provoked the war that ended in the Roman destruction of Corinth in 146 BC. Cotta says it was Critolaus, not an angry god, who destroyed Corinth.

Critolaus of Phaselis, a Peripatetic head of school (2nd cent. BC) and one of the three philosophers in the Athenian embassy of 155 BC. His "balance" weighed the goods of the soul against bodily and external goods and found the soul's so heavy it would sink earth and seas.
