A Roman architect, patron of the freedman Chrysippus Vettius (Fam. 7.14); a builder also named in Cicero's letters to Atticus and Quintus. Distinct from Cyrus the Great (person:cyrus).

Cyrus the architect (a Greek builder employed by Cicero and Atticus), punningly sharing the name of Xenophon's Cyrus; he advised that narrow windows framed the garden views more sweetly.
