Diagoras of Melos

Diagoras

A late-fifth-century BC poet notorious in antiquity as 'the Atheist' for openly denying the existence of the gods. Cicero repeatedly pairs him with Theodorus of Cyrene as a thinker who abolished divinity altogether.
