Lucius Aemilius Paullus Macedonicus
L. Aemilius Paullus
also: L. Aemilius, Lucius Aemilius, Aemilius Paullus
Consul of 182 and 168 BC who decisively defeated King Perseus of Macedon at Pydna, ending the Third Macedonian War. In Phil. 13.9 Cicero lists him among the great commanders who, despite huge wars, did not receive the honours voted to Lepidus.
