Son of the flamen (probably L. Cornelius Lentulus Niger, flamen Martialis); in 54 BC he laid the charge of maiestas against A. Gabinius. Distinct from the consular Lentuli.

A flamen was a priest dedicated to a single deity; the prosecutor L. Lentulus is identified by his father's priesthood (probably the flamen Martialis) to distinguish him from the many other Lentuli.
