Consul 151 BC, colleague of A. Postumius Albinus; named by Cicero only to date Postumius's consulship in his antiquarian inquiry about the ten commissioners to Greece (Att. 13.32). Grandfather of the famous L. Licinius Lucullus.

This Lucius Licinius Lucullus, consul 151 BC, was Postumius's colleague and the father of the famous general; he is not the celebrated Mithridatic commander after whom the Academica book is named.
