A Peripatetic philosopher of Troas (c. 299-225 BC) who succeeded Strato as head of the Lyceum. Cicero in De Finibus 5.13 judges him rich in language but thin in substance.

Lyco of Troas (c. 299-225 BC), head of the Peripatetic school after Straton. He held that distress is provoked by bodily and external mischances, not by the evils of the mind; Cicero objects that Alcibiades grieved precisely over mental faults.
