Manius Acilius Glabrio, proconsul (governor) of Sicily in 46–45 BC, the recipient of Cicero's run of recommendation letters Fam. 13.30–39. Distinct from the M'. Acilius Glabrio who presided as praetor over the trial of Verres in 70 BC (the stub person:m-glabrio) — an earlier member of the same gens; the identification of the two is a prosopographical crux left for a later merge decision.

Heading: Cicero to Acilius the Proconsul, greetings. The recipient is M'. Acilius Glabrio, proconsul of Sicily 46--45 BC; not to be confused with the earlier M'. Glabrione who presided at the Verres trial (70 BC). Three successive letters (13.30--32) are addressed to him as Cicero commends different Sicilian connections.
