Marcus the Younger

Cicero's only son, born ca. 65 BC. Aedile of Arpinum in ca. 46 BC; later sent to Athens for philosophical studies (the addressee of De Officiis), and consul suffect in 30 BC. The reluctant heir to the orator's name.
