Mamurra
also: Mamurra, Mamurrae
An eques from Formiae, Caesar's praefectus fabrum in Gaul, who grew notoriously rich on the spoils of the Gallic campaigns and was a favourite target of Catullus. Cicero lists his wealth among the scandalous fruits of indulging Caesar. Distinct from the corrupt conjectural name at Fam. 7.5.
