P. Cervium legatum

also: Publius Cervius the legate

P. Cervius, legate of Verres in Sicily, an honourable man whose disagreement with the governor led to his being struck off the praetor's council; later one of the prosecution's important Sicilian witnesses (Verr. 2.5.114). Cicero remembered him as an iudex selectus of high standing.
