Publius Titius (tribune 43 BC)
P. Titius
also: P. Titius intercessor, Titius tribunus, Titio
Tribune of the plebs in 43 BC who, at Servilius's request, interposed a veto (intercessio) against Cicero's senatorial motion honoring Plancus; Cicero eventually dislodged him. Not to be confused with the later Triumviral-era tribune of the same name.
Reading notes
- Ad Familiares 10.21 §3 I have sent a copy of his autograph to Titius
P. Titius, tribune of the plebs in 43, had earlier vetoed Cicero's motion honoring Plancus; Plancus forwards Laterensis's incriminating autograph letter to him, presumably to vindicate his own conduct before a hostile witness.
