person

Quintus Marcius Rex

Rex

also: Rex

Consul 68 BC, married to a sister of P. Clodius Pulcher and thus Clodius's brother-in-law. At Att. 1.16.10 Cicero puns that 'Rex' (the cognomen, also Latin for 'king') made no mention of Clodius in his will, an inheritance Clodius had hoped for. Distinct from person:rex-recipient (an uncertain 'Rex' addressed in Fam. 13.52).
