Q. Caecilius Metellus Pius Scipio Nasica (cos. 52), Pompeian commander who died after Thapsus in 46 BC. In Fam. 12.2 the 'villa of Metellus' where Antony rehearsed a speech is identified with his former property.

Metellus Scipio, Pompey's father-in-law, had been assigned the province of Syria; Cicero weighs whether he is going there on duty, joining Pompey ("his son-in-law"), or simply fleeing Caesar. The uncertainty captures the disarray of the Pompeian leadership in March 49.
