Rubrius

Rubrius, the companion (comes) of Verres at Lampsacum in 80 BC, the scout for his lusts who first reported to him the beauty of Philodamus's daughter and instigated the attempt on her (Verr. 2.1.64-67). Distinct from the various Rubrii of the late Republic; otherwise unknown.
