Son of the elder Sex. Peducaeus, propraetor of Sicily; a friend of Cicero and Atticus and a man of high principle, whose approval of Cicero's conduct in the civil war Cicero valued as he had once valued the father's counsel.

Sextus Peducaeus, son of the propraetor of Sicily and a high-principled friend of both Cicero and Atticus, here had property going under the hammer that Atticus was helping manage. Cicero waits on that business before expecting Atticus at Astura.

Cicero expects Atticus to come to him once Atticus has finished a visit to (or business at) the house of Sextus Peducaeus, a friend common to them both. The elliptical Latin (a Peducaeo) leaves the engagement unspecified.
