Sextus Varus
A proconsul of Further Spain in an earlier era of civil strife (probably the Sullan period) under whom, Pollio recalls, the Senate of a Spanish community was massacred or driven out by seditious factions. Known only from Pollio's letter (Fam. 10.32).
