Strato of Lampsacus

Strato

Peripatetic philosopher (c. 335-269 BC), pupil of Theophrastus and head of the Lyceum, called 'the natural philosopher' for his devotion to physics. Cicero says he abandoned ethics for the study of nature and so departed from his school.
