T. Quinctius Flamininus, consul 198 BC, victor over Philip V at Cynoscephalae and proclaimer of Greek freedom at the Isthmian Games of 196. Triumphed 194. He set up the great statue of Jupiter Imperator from Macedonia on the Capitol (Verr. 2.4.129) and stands in the canonical Roman gallery of liberators of Greece (Verr. 2.1.55).
