Trebianus

A Pompeian supporter who remained in exile or awaiting pardon after the civil war; Cicero consoles him in Fam. 6.10 (46 BC) and congratulates him on his return in Fam. 6.11 (45 BC), the latter secured through the intercession of Dolabella. His praenomen and full nomen are unknown; he may be the Trebianus attested in Umbria.

Trebianus was a Pompeian who remained in arms beyond the point when Cicero (and others) made their peace with Caesar; he was apparently still in exile or awaiting formal pardon when Cicero wrote this letter (c. August 46 BC), after Caesar's African campaign.
