person
Gaius Visellius Varro
Visellius
also: Visellius
A learned jurist and a maternal cousin of Cicero who drafted the recall law that the tribune T. Fadius proposed to bring forward in late 58 BC; Cicero much prefers Visellius's draft to that of Sestius (Att 3.23.4). Identification with the C. Visellius Varro known as Cicero's cognate jurisconsult is probable but not certain.
