A harbour town on the coast of Cilicia (Corycus), with a closed/defensible port. In Fam. 12.13 the Dolabellan admiral L. Figulus shut himself up there.

The Corycians of Cilicia were proverbial spies who, by listening in harbours and shops, gathered intelligence to betray merchants to pirates. Cicero uses the byword to say his every word is being overheard by Caesar's watchers.
