The name Cicero gave the upper gymnasium of his Tusculan villa, after Aristotle's Lyceum at Athens; the setting in which the dialogue of De Divinatione is staged (1.8).

Cicero named the upper exercise-ground of his Tusculan villa the 'Lyceum' after Aristotle's school at Athens. The dialogue's setting on a walk there imitates the Greek philosophical promenade.
