The great northern highway from Rome to Ariminum on the Adriatic, built by C. Flaminius (censor 220 BC). At Att 1.1.2 Thermus's curatorship of its repair gives him political visibility useful to his consular canvass.

A curator viae was a magistrate charged with maintaining one of the great public roads; the post kept Thermus before the public eye, an asset to a candidate. The Via Flaminia ran north from Rome to the Adriatic.
