The Via Minucia was a road running from Beneventum through the Apennines toward the Adriatic coast, the line of march for troops moving on Brundisium. The name of the commander the six cohorts joined --- given here as Curius --- is textually uncertain and may be a corruption of Curio, Caesar's lieutenant.
