A work of Antisthenes titled 'The Natural Philosopher.' Cicero cites it for the doctrine that there are many popular gods but only one in nature.

Antisthenes's Physicus, in which he distinguished the many gods of popular belief from the one god of nature. Cicero (through Cotta) takes this as effectively abolishing the gods.
