Reading notes
- Ad Familiares 4.4 §4 except Volcacius
C. Volcacius Tullus alone declined to thank Caesar, saying that in Marcellus's place he himself would not have accepted the pardon. The episode broke Cicero's vow of silence: moved by the scene, he too rose and delivered thanks (the speech Pro Marcello).
