Cn. Plancius, quaestor of Macedonia in 58 BC, who sheltered the exiled Cicero in his own household at Thessalonica and pressed him to stay. Cicero later defended him in the Pro Plancio (54 BC).

Ad Familiares 4.14 §1 CN. PLANCIO
Cnaeus Plancius, quaestor in Macedonia in 58 BC, had sheltered the exiled Cicero at Thessalonica during his banishment; Cicero repaid the debt by defending him in 54 BC in the surviving speech Pro Plancio. Plancius himself is now an exile after the civil war, addressed at Corcyra, so the obligation has come full circle.
