Lucius Calpurnius Bibulus, son of Marcus Calpurnius Bibulus (consul 59 BC) and Porcia (Cato's daughter), making him Brutus's cousin by marriage; he sought election as suffect consul to replace Pansa in 43 BC and later served as a naval commander under Antony.

Lucius Calpurnius Bibulus was the son of Marcus Calpurnius Bibulus (consul 59 BC) and Porcia, the sister of Cato the Younger; Porcia was also Brutus's half-sister (Cato was Brutus's maternal uncle), making Bibulus Brutus's cousin by marriage.
