A slave in Cicero's household who served as a letter-carrier and agent during the civil war years. Named in Ad Familiares 14.6 (48 BC), where Cicero presses Terentia to dispatch him.

Pollex, a slave of Cicero's used as agent and courier; Cicero puns on his name, which means "thumb," against index, the "pointing" forefinger --- the man turned up but pointed nothing out. He is the agent who must enter on the Cluvius inheritance.
