Minuciam gentem

Roman patrician (later plebeian) gens whose most famous member, L. Minucius Augurinus, was honoured with a column outside the Porta Trigemina in 439 BC for distributing cheap grain. Cicero invokes the gens as a foil for Verres's hereditary disgrace (In Verrem 2.1).
