law
lex Cornelia (on legates' allowances)
the Cornelian law
also: legem Corneliam, lex Cornelia
A Sullan statute fixing the maximum sums a province could decree for the travelling expenses of embassies (legati) sent to Rome. Cicero says he recommended that allowances for Appius's envoys be assessed as close to this law as possible (Fam. 3.10.6).
