The law of 89 BC, proposed by the tribunes M. Plautius Silvanus and C. Papirius Carbo, granting Roman citizenship to enrolled members of allied cities domiciled in Italy who registered before a praetor within sixty days. The statute under which Archias claimed citizenship.
