Aeacus

also: Aeacida, Aeacidae, Aeacidarum, descendant of Aeacus

The mythical king of Aegina and ancestor of the Aeacidae, the line claimed by Pyrrhus of Epirus. Cicero quotes the oracle addressing Pyrrhus as ``descendant of Aeacus'' and the Ennian verse on the war-strong but dull-witted race of the Aeacidae.
