Aegritomarus

A Transalpine Gaul, hereditary guest-friend of Cn. Domitius (the consul of 96 BC), whose mistreatment by M. Iunius Silanus (cos. 109) was the occasion of Domitius's celebrated prosecution of Silanus. Cicero recalls the case in Divinatio in Caecilium 67 and Verr. 2.2.118 as a noble precedent of a Roman taking up a foreign client's grievance.
