Anacharsis

A Scythian prince and sage of the early sixth century BC, often counted among the Seven Wise Men, famed for his austere life and contempt for wealth. Cicero quotes a (spurious) letter of his to Hanno renouncing material gifts as proof that even a barbarian could despise riches.
