Antipater of Cyrene

Antipater

also: Antipatri Cyrenaici, Antipater of Cyrene

A blind philosopher of the Cyrenaic school, cited by Cicero for his witty retort to women lamenting his blindness, that the pleasures of the night were not lost on him. He illustrates the Cyrenaic view that the loss of sight need not impair the happy life.
