Archonidas Helorius

also: Archonidas of Helorus

Archonidas of Helorus, a wealthy Sicilian named at Verr. 2.3.129 (and again at 2.4.59 as one of those compelled to weave purple cloth for Verres) as an example of farmers driven to suicide by the depredations of Apronius and the tithe-collectors. He is unknown outside the Verrines.
