Aristeus, Dexonis filius

Aristeus, son of Dexo, a Sicilian Greek whose father, Dexo of Tyndaris, was one of Verres's official hosts. Aristeus, captain of the Tyndaritan ship in Verres's allied fleet, was scapegoated for the disaster at Helorus and put in chains (Verr. 2.5.110-111). Nothing further is known of him.
