Artemidorum

Artemidorus of Lampsacus, a leading citizen of the Hellespontine city whose house was the scene of Verres's notorious attempt to abduct the daughter of his host Philodamus in 80 BC. The resulting riot and the killing of Verres's lictor are recounted at Verr. 2.1.63-85, where Artemidorus appears as a witness deposing under oath.
