Greek physician of Patrae (Achaea) who attended members of Cicero's household and won his personal confidence for both skill and loyalty. Cicero recommends him to Servius Sulpicius Rufus in Fam. 13.20. The name is a Latinised form of Greek Asklapon, derived from the healing god Asclepius.
