Athenagoras of Cyme

Athenagoras of Cyme in Aeolis, a citizen of the Asian city who was publicly flogged for having tried to put a stop to the export of grain during a famine (Pro Flacco 17). Cicero invokes him as an emblem of the disorderly violence of Greek assemblies. He is otherwise unrecorded.
