Sons of Marcus Calpurnius Bibulus

the Bibuli

also: Bibulorum, Bibuli, sons of Bibulus

The two sons of Marcus Calpurnius Bibulus (cos. 59 BC, Caesar's consular colleague) and Porcia (daughter of Cato Uticensis); both were killed by order of Ptolemy before the battle of Pharsalus in 48 BC or, in some accounts, died in service of the republican cause. In 43 BC the plural 'Bibulorum' refers to two young Bibulus kinsmen whose priestly elections Cicero sought to advance.
