Gaius Cassius of Parma, poet and one of Caesar's assassins; quaestor/proquaestor with the Liberators' eastern fleet in 43 BC and sender of Ad Familiares 12.13. Frequently confused in the manuscripts with the more famous C. Cassius Longinus. The last of the conspirators to die, executed on Octavian's orders after Actium (30 BC).
